📚 Article (a, an, the) Overview

✅ Indefinite Article (a / an)

যখন কোনো general / অনির্দিষ্ট বস্তু বা ব্যক্তি বোঝায়।

• A → Consonant sound দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া শব্দের আগে
  Examples: a boy, a university, a European country, a one-eyed man
• An → Vowel sound দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া শব্দের আগে (a, e, i, o, u)
  Examples: an apple, an honest man, an hour, an MBA student

🔔 Rule: Spelling নয়, sound দেখেই a / an বসবে।

✅ Definite Article (the)

যখন কোনো specific / নির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু বোঝায়।

• আগে উল্লেখ করা জিনিস: I saw a dog. The dog was black.
• একটাই আছে: the sun, the moon, the Earth
• Superlative এর আগে: the best student, the tallest building
• Ordinal number এর আগে: the first day, the second chapter
• নদী, সাগর, মহাসাগর: the Padma, the Bay of Bengal
• দেশের নাম যদি plural বা “of” থাকে: the USA, the United Kingdom
• Musical instrument: She plays the piano

❌ Zero Article (No Article)

যখন Article ব্যবহার হয় না:

• Proper noun (নাম): Shuvo is my friend. Bangladesh is beautiful.
• Plural noun (general meaning): Students are hardworking.
• Uncountable noun (general): Water is essential. Knowledge is power.
• Meals এর নাম: I eat breakfast at 8.
• Language: I speak English.

❌ an university → ✅ a university
❌ the nature is beautiful → ✅ nature is beautiful
